Cleaning the Skin
The main function of bathing is to clean the skin. Before taking a bath, we make the bathroom be filled with steam. Then we enter the bathroom, we will find that although the steam temperature of ordinary bathroom in our households is not as high as the one of the sauna outside, its temperature is able to loosen the grease and dirt trapped in the pores. Next, we can take a bath confortably in the tub; at this time the old cuticles on the skin surface so called "filth" will soften in hot water. We can then clean the filth easily by washing the skin using a bathing tool such as a towel. In this way, the skin can be allowed to proper regulate the body temperature and normal perspiration can proceed. Hence we feel fresh and confortable after each bath. This is because we loose a large amount of sweat and lots of water after a bath. We should also drink a large glass of water before bathing to keep ourselves adequately hydrated.
